1 – Scheme overview

This External Quality Assessment scheme allows an evaluation of accuracy of the differents methods for Anti-PF4 Antibodies screening, in the diagnosis of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.

Several levels are tested: negative and positive at different antibody concentrations.

Statistical reports are sent with supporting comments from the expert clinical biologists who coordinate the scheme.

This scheme is only intended for immunological methods (rapid techniques and ELISA).

3 – List of analytes assessed 

• Anti-PF4 Antibodies
• The exploitation of the results is quantitative (expression in U/mL and OD), and also qualitative (negative, positive or questionable research).

4 – Description of the control samples

Liquid Human control plasma (citrate) (ready-to-use 0.5 mL samples), overloaded with anti-PF4 monoclonal antibody.
