1 - Scheme Overview

The desialylated transferrin EQA scheme is intended to assess the accuracy of assays used to screen for and monitor this marker of chronic alcohol consumption.

This EQA is the first mutual external quality assessment scheme shared with all the Interlaboratory Comparison Organizations members of the French federation of EQA associations (F.A.E.E.Q.).

The goal of mutualizing this scheme is to share :

• The experience, know-how and expertise of the different quality control associations.
• Participant results to get larger peer groups.

The statistical evaluations, the individual reports and the delivery of the control preparations are established by and under the responsibility of Biologie Prospective
